Maintenance Technician Qualifications & Requirements

Position Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Roundabout Oxford RV and Water Resort, you will be instrumental in ensuring the operational integrity and aesthetic quality of all resort facilities and amenities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine preventative maintenance inspections and perform maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of the resort’s facilities and amenities.

• Troubleshoot and repair issues with equipment, machinery, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

• Respond quickly to maintenance requests from guests and staff to resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal inconvenience and maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction.

• Manage and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies and equipment, initiating orders to replenish stock as necessary.

• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements, particularly in the handling of hazardous materials.

• Collaborate with other resort staff and departments to coordinate maintenance efforts and support overall operational needs.

• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance technical skills and stay updated with industry best practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in maintenance, repair, or facilities management, especially in a hospitality or recreational setting.

• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with general building maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to diagnosing and resolving issues.

• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects as needed.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of professional interaction with guests, coworkers, and vendors.

• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to be on-call as necessary.

We will have a full commercial kitchen operating for lunch and dinner. On Saturdays, we will also have a small breakfast available.

• Part-time

• Kitchen experience preferred

Inside of the Swayze Lazy River, the Resort Pool and Slides will be surrounded by hundreds of deck chairs. Guests will be able to order from their Roundabout Oxford app as well as at the window of the Kitchen. Numerous Servers will be delivering food from the kitchen and beverages from the bars to Guests so that they don’t have to pause their relaxation to get up!

• Serving experience preferable

• Must be 18 years old

Roundabout Oxford will have 4 bars on the premises within the “Circle”.

• Bartending experience is required

• TiPS certification is preferred

Despite being a brand new facility, we know that things might break. A person on our maintenance team should be creative with solutions, familiar with tool types, and eager to problem solve.

Those working in the reception area of our Welcome Center are the first friendly faces Guests will see! They are responsible for helping Guests feel at home, letting them know about upcoming events during their stay, and ensuring all paperwork is filled out.

• Customer Service experience required

Guests with an RV will bring their own towels and linens. However, Roundabout Oxford has 20 cottages sleep 6 people and have 5 beds that need linens changed, a

• Housekeeping experience preferred

Believe it or not, the palm trees are fake! Most of the other natural elements at Roundabout Oxford are real, though. Grass, shrubs, trees, etc. will all need to be tended to.

• Landscaping experience preferred

Between the Resort Pool, Adult Pool, 912 ft. long Lazy River, 20 person hot tub, small hot tub, and Slides, we will have our hands full with water features. Chemicals must be balanced every morning and checked throughout the day. Frequent cleaning and scrubbing must be done as well.

• Some pool knowledge preferred.

Once checking in, Guests will be driven to their site by someone on a golf cart to make sure they don’t have any difficulty finding it. The same staff will likely be the golf cart delivery drivers of food from the Kitchen to sites.

• Must be at least 16 years old and have a valid drivers license.
