Roundabout Oxford is a dream project for founders, Drs. Alison and Andrew Ross and Cris and Jay Hughes. The families — both Oxonians and entrepreneurs — share a love for RVing and recognized the demand for a luxury RV and water resort in North Mississippi, where none exists.
Their goal was to create a resort that felt like an oasis, catering to families of all ages and offering a sense of community. They wanted a place where friends could reconnect around campfires, grandparents could teach their grandkids to fish, and adults could relax floating down a lazy river.

About OUR Founders
Both the Ross and Hughes families are longtime Oxford residents and entrepreneurs who wanted to contribute a family-friendly activity to the area that will serve locals and visitors alike.
The Hughes Family
Jay Hughes
Jay Hughes, an Army veteran and businessman, brings a wealth of experience to Roundabout Oxford. After graduating with a business degree from Nicholls State University and a law degree from University of Mississippi, he practiced law across multiple specialties and states. Beyond law, Jay is an entrepreneur, having partnered with his wife in real estate development and been involved in successful businesses like Popeyes restaurants and Southern Airways Express. Being dedicated to the Oxford community, he was a member of the Rotary Club, Lions Club, and volunteered as a substitute teacher. Jay’s commitment to Oxford extends to his time on the Board of Alderman and the Mississippi House of Representatives, where he donated his salary back to local public schools.
The Ross Family
Dr. Alison Ross
A Jackson native, Dr. Alison Ross attended the University of Mississippi, where she graduated through the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College in 2007. After college, Dr. Ross started dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in Jackson. Now, she brings her expertise and dedication to Ross Family Dental. In addition to her practice, Dr. Ross is actively involved in the community through organizations such as the Mississippi Association of Women Dentists, the Mississippi Oral Health Community Alliance, and the Community Church of Oxford, and real estate ventures focused on positive growth of Oxford.
Cris Hughes
Cris Hughes, originally from Natchez, Mississippi, graduated with a degree in Apparels, Textiles & Merchandising and a minor in Business from Mississippi State University in 1993. After retail experience, she became the President of Phase One, Ltd., a real estate development company with her husband, Jay, in 1997. She is a former member of the Junior Auxiliary of Oxford and served as the Fundraising Chairman for Oxford School District’s PTO for nine years. Cris was also named Parent of the Year twice for the district.
Dr. Andrew Ross
Dr. Andrew Ross grew up in Oxford and graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2005. After college, Dr. Ross attended dental school at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. He has practiced in a private practice setting, a public health facility, and has also helped serve the military by helping soldiers take care of emergency and necessary dental care prior to deployment. Dr. Ross is an active member at the Community Church of Oxford, a member of the Oxford Chamber of Commerce and the Tri-Lakes Dental Study Club.
